Principal Technology Strategist

As a Principal Technology Strategist, your primary responsibility will be to work alongside our sales and delivery teams to assist our clients in digitally transforming their businesses by developing technology-centric solutions that solve real-world problems. 


You will be responsible for leveraging your business acumen and affinity for technology to conceptualize innovative and unique software solutions that humans will love to use and presenting these solutions back to prospective and existing clients in an impactful way that inspires organizations to want to work with us.  In addition, your role will focus on evangelizing the technology platforms and solutions our organization specializes in and developing the strategy and messaging around how to market our organizational capabilities and offerings.


Key Result Areas


Sales Support & Enablement

  • Accountable for the direct development and growth of our organization by providing support to the sales team in the sales lifecycle and providing transition and continuous oversight into the successful delivery of these engagements
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to provide sales support on new and ongoing opportunities
  • Responding to RFx’s and developing proposals and statements of work for engagements you’ve planned, including the development of the proposed solution, engagement approach, costs, timelines, and required resources to support such an engagement
  • Identify new opportunity areas that compliment our existing offerings within the organization
  • Development of templates, artifacts, and reusable material to increase team efficiency
  • Working with other members of the Technology Strategy team to support these objectives across all regions within the organization

Delivery Support

  • Work with the Delivery Executive’s to ensure continuity of knowledge while transitioning successful opportunities to the delivery team
  • Provide ongoing assistance to the delivery team based on issues or unforeseen challenges that may arise during engagements
  • Provide delivery oversight to ensure that solutions being developed at DevFacto align with the vision originally set forth during the sales process
  • Assist with delivery-based sales activities including developing change requests and estimating future phases as needed

Developing Account Specific Strategies

  • Work with the client and delivery executives to develop long term account management strategies that take into account existing technology investments, previous work our organization has planned and/or implemented, roadmaps and recommendations that have been developed, as well as emerging trends and opportunities we see in the market
  • Ability to gain insight into an organizations existing technology environment in order to make technology recommendations that align with existing investments
  • Meet with organizations to demo work our organization in similar industry verticals that may be worth investing in, new products our team, customers, or partners are investing in, or just keep in touch to see what new challenges they may be facing

Technology Evangelist & Thought Leadership 

  • Conceptualize, architect, plan and execute technology-based projects
  • Continuously expanding broad knowledge of Microsoft’s enterprise cloud, development, analytics, and productivity & collaboration platforms as they relate to DevFacto’s core offerings and practice areas
  • Be active in the technology community, publishing articles, blogs, sharing ideas and concepts with peers with the intent to raise the visibility of both yourself and our organization


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar information technology-related or engineering discipline degree required
  • A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated success as a leader of complex business or technology initiatives in a data-driven or highly analytical business environment with 5+ years of modern experience building solutions on SharePoint & Office 365, Power BI, Microsoft Azure, and/or Modern Web Development Technologies, preferably with a technology based consultative focused organization
  • Strong ability to relate data to insight and to drive business decisions at all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching and development, with the ability to interact with employees of all layers within an organization, especially decision-makers
  • Proven ability to learn quickly, adapt, and master new concepts and technologies to drive their adoption and usage required
  • Strong technical skills required, with enterprise architecture experience or certification preferred
  • Experience in Business Consulting or Consultative Selling, and extensive experience working within a team preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with equally good listening skills is essential
  • Ability to develop technology engagements and estimate the associated effort
  • Experience in Project Management preferred
  • Additional training or education in Business, Sales, or Marketing preferred
  • Ability to travel as required
